If there is one clear message I’ve heard while connecting with the community hospitals in this special edition of Health IT Outcomes, it’s that healthcare IT initiatives are alive and well in the community hospital provider segment. As you might expect, IT initiatives in smaller facilities are being driven by the same factors cited by the largest hospitals and health systems across the country — improving patient care, driving efficiency, and maximizing reimbursement.
